Apparently, not watching Idol last week meant I didn't realize the show was moved to Tuesday night this week and results were tonight. I usually never watch the results shows, especially when I don't have a dog in the hunt. Extra especially when I already knew who was going to win. Bah. I'm sick of anyone who is interesting getting kicked off early (except for Adam Lambert) and/or not winning.

Ripley is being very sweet tonight. She's sitting on the chair next to me, curled up in my fleece, with her wee face on my leg. It's good to be a pampered pooch.

Tonight, I took a wee 20-minute nap after work, and it really perked me up this evening. It was a good stress buster. Work wasn't crazy stressful for me directly, but the dude who manages the Western US (I'm the East Coast) is slow and not terribly ambitious. He has no sense of urgency whatsoever. And today I kept seeing things that needed quick action stacking up. Then second requests started coming in and more people were copied on them. In the past, I'd cover for him so that our team didn't look bad, but I'm through. I'm tired of him being the same level as I am and doing much less and being less capable. I get pulled into more projects than him. I've volunteered to take on more work to learn project management. I"m not there to wipe his ass and blow his nose for him.

Hmmm, I wasn't feeling grumpy, but clearly, I have some issues concerning him. I'm sure the gentleman in my icon would be able to offer me a solution to my problems. ^_^
