That's what my guy in Boston said when I called him today at work. I responded the only resonable way: Happy 4th of July Eve. ^_^

Work wasn't the usual grind, but I was anxious for it to be overoverover so I could start with the staycation. To celebrate, I stopped at the store and got ribeyes for tomorrow and some other day off day. They were on sale. This shopping came in the midst of a downpour, so I got soaked. While part of me was, "Meh. Wet," another part was ralther revelling in the joy of being rained on.

When I was a kid, we used to play outside in the rain, in big puddles left on the sidewalk. Hey, if the kiddie pool wasn't filled, we could improvise. Apparently, this was a swimsuits optional sort of thing, since I have pics of mini-me in my underwear sitting in the middle of a BIG puddle on the sidewalk outside the house. However, since I am no longer 5 years old, I did not strip down to my underwear today and cavort around in the storm.

So tomorrow will be rest and reading and writing and steak. Possibly a Dallas marathon the sis cued me in to, since I've not been watching, the new version, but nostalgia for a show from my youth has me interested.

What could be better?

For those of you in the States, are you doing anything fun and/or relaxing tomorrow?

I wish I could have been near windows/outside for the epic storms we had! Alas I get to spend my 4th, working as usual.

Awwww. I love being outside on the balcony or in the breezeway when it's storming hard. I love thunderstorms so very, very much.

Sorry you had to work on the 4th.

I'm working most of the day...will try to see fireworks afterwards.

Awwwww. Working on holidays sucks.

You know, I didn't see any fireworks this year, and I didn't even hear many.

Odd....

Hmm, there wasn't as many...but I kind of okay with that. They make me kind of paranoid close to the house since that year one broke our front window.

Been reading your con posts. Sounds like you had a good time, and...OMG! ISN'T CRAIG AWESOME!!!

Craig is the nicest fella I ever encountered right up next to Karl of course.
But he's so lovely,Barb, Craig is. Amazingly friendly and warm open hearted.
He clearly deserves all the happiness in the world, the dear boy.

Need to put up Craig icons now. *winks*

He won my heart in a storm.

I am going to see Spider-Man with my beau. Air Conditioning ftw!!

Happy 4th!

Oooo! That sounds like a lovely date and a lovely 4th excursion.

Did you like the movie? *is all curious*

From: [identity profile] silsbee329.livejournal.com

The movie was okaaaaay... I thought too many parts were very silly (more like a cartoon than a film?), and the CGI was too obvious at times. The best part was the cast. I love Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, and Martin Sheen. So, that was one good aspect. I was expecting it to be grittier for some reason. Maybe Batman has spoiled me. ;)

I've gone outside in storms full clothed. Nothing stopping me because I am not a little kid. Heh.

Rest, writing, and steak. Sounds like a grand old time.

I will be hanging with friends, swimming, and eating food. Probably talking about vampires too.

Vampires are good. As are the other activities of the day you had planned.
