While I am stuck in grading hell, I would like everyone to know that life is not entirely bad. Last week, I bought an iPod. That's right. Last week. There was no "Ooo! Shiny!" post that I normally make after purchasing a new electronic toy, like my PSP or Xbox squees, because I didn't open it until this weekend.
This should be an indication of how draining the last week had been. However, this weekend I broke the little sucker (It's the 60GB model for those of you who care about such things.) out of its prison and loaded iTunes on my laptop. So I've been uploading CD's to iTunes all weekend, and despite being on slower than slow dialup, I downloaded "Monster Mash" and "Werewolves of London" because I needed to have them.
I did. Really.
While I curse my dialup connection often, one way that is good is curbing my music downloading tendencies. Taking about 20 minutes to download a song somewhat offsets the one-click ease with which one can purchase them on iTunes.
So over the next week or so, I'll be uploading music to the iPod, which has a set of stylish iPod socks to protect it. Then I suppose I shall begin uploading pictures, so that I can have slideshows to watch while the music plays. Yes, just what I need: another time sink. Even if it happens to be cute and tuneful.
