I suppose that today I officially became a Georgian of some kind. See, I had to get a Georgia license in order to get plates for my car, and since my temporary plates run out on Friday, I figured I'd better get on that. During lunch I drove up to the little DMV in the woods of Cumming and got my license. It has peaches on it. Surpisingly, my picture doesn't look half bad and definitely looks better than the Ohio one.
Now the for-suck thin about Georgia is you can't get your plates and license in the same place. You get your plates at a county tax office. Like the drivers licenses, the standard plates are be-peached. However, I paid extra for the attractive purple coneflower wild places conservation plate. It's like $20 more than the standard plate, but the extra $20 goes to conservation.
In other news, Willi is doing much better. It took about two days for the prednisone to start to work, but since then, no pain. This week I've stepped down the prednisone and the pain pills, and all seems to be maintaining, so I guess we're good for a while. Hopefully, a long while. Thank you to everyone who sent along well wishes for the doggie.
