State of the Barb...

Things have been rather chaotic and unsettled at work, and I find that I'm bringing some of that home. It's not like I need to bring chores home with me, but I seem to be carrying the tension home. Today, partway through the morning, I realized I had pain under my shoulder blade. Knotted tension between there and the side/back of my neck.

I'm also disappointed that Jack Bauer seems to have lost his balls and that everyone else seems to have been stricken with a severe case of stupid. I'm also disappointed that Fringe is gone again until April. Fox can take their winter hiatus and stuff it.

However, life is not all grimness. The Saints won the Super Bowl! *\o/* Ripley's hernia has been fixed, and she's been spayed. All went well with the two surgeries.

I was seduced via email to purchase a Nook, which is finally in stock at BarnesandNoble.com. I'm a little nervous about the ebook reader thing because I like the feel of books. Having them. Holding them in my hands. However, I've got lots and lots of them, and I'm thinking that for books that are just in paperback form, the ebook reader might be a good option. The Nook is arriving tomorrow, so I'm very excited about that.

Oh, and since the Nook reads PDF files, I can PDF my Word docs and read them on the Nook. Poetry on the Nook. My conference papers on my Nook. Fics at my fingertips on my Nook. In addition to pics and music.
