If my calculations are correct, [livejournal.com profile] caras_galadhon may be in her digs at the new university by now. This is a rough guesstimate since I'm not sure how long her airport layover in Aukland was going to last, nor do I know the time it might take to get from the Wellington airport to her place. She's planning on getting Internet access up and running as quickly as she can, so we might see her this evening late (if all things run perfectly and she isn't flat-out exhausted from the trip.

I know that she has been stressed and dashing about madly the last few weeks trying to get eveything together and make sure things are settled at home, and I hope she has a good stretch of days where she can just rest and relax. She deserves that.

So everyone think good travel thoughts for her and quick web connect so that she'll be back online soon.
So Mom is going to be sent to the rehab when a bed opens up. She could go right to the rehab wing of the hospital, but frankly, it kinda sucks in terms of actual rehab being done. She sounds better, stronger and clearer, today, and here is a snippet of our conversation.

Me: So do you remember saying that you thought the nurses were all trying to kill you?

Her: Oh, yes. I really thought they were. I called the police. I was going to have them arrested.

Me: I know.

Her: But the police can't come into the hospital.. So hospital security has to come up. And the head of nursing. I tried to have your sister arrested too.

Me: I know. You told me. I was talking to you then.

Her: Oh. No more of that morphine.

Me: Mmmmhmmmm.

Her: This is like that other time. When I thought your uncle was Korean. And I saw dachsdunds and quails running around.

Me: Quails?

Her: Yes.

And then I thought a lot about what would make someone hallucinate...quails.

Yeah, I got nothing.
