Dear Fox,
WTF was that shit you pulled last night after the "premiere" of Kiefer's new series Touch? You show a one-hour ep, and then at the end, you say that the show will be airing in its normal Monday-night sliot...in MARCH. It's JANUARY. What the hell possessed you to do such a thing?
Also, well, your one-hour taste of Touch was not that compelling. It isn't going to have me fidgeting and fussing for the next month and a half until the show starts its regular run. Some things to consider:
1 - The whole many vignettes swirling around a central story that all end up connecting back to it really, really, really felt contrived at the end. The bit with the father in Times Square and the boy who needed the oven at the very end had me eyeing the television skeptically.
2 - It would have been nice actually spending time developing the main character in the series, instead of heaping on more than a half dozen others who likely will only be in this one episode.
3 - The patterns in nature connecting all things speech by Danny Glover felt a bit woo-woo to me. And I'm a bit woo-woo myself. I think the conclusion I'd like you to draw from that is pretty clear.
4 - I'm not sure even JJ Abrahms could have pulled this ep off, and the writers weren't even close to having the writing chops of Abrahms.
No love,
Me
