Today was a pretty lazy day for me, though I think I needed it to keep recouping from the ick. Ick update - Only mildly congested in the nose, not at all in the chest. Still tire easily, but that's also getting better. I guess that means I'm officially on the mend.

My most productive time today was a run to Staples (with Ripley riding shotgun) to get a bigger Arc notebook. I'm loving the wee one. Lots. One problem I've had with notebooks is the fact you can't move things around, and binders are so bulky and heavy. The Arc is the perfect solution: a notebook that behaves like a binder. What's even better, the arc notebooks were all on sale, so I snagged two of the larger ones. Along with inserts and bigger discs, which I figure I'll need eventually.

Watched the US National Figure Skating Championship tonight with my mom and sis. Well, we all watched in our respective abodes and shared commentary on AIM. Sadly, it was the women's long program this evening, and for some reason, I like women's singles least of any of the four categories. Meh. This is what happens when there is suck on television. And yes, I guess I could have popped in some DVD's. I took the lazy road.

Behind on comments for some reason. Mostly because I do other things first and then I'm sleeping and fuzzed over and think, "Eh, I'll get to them in the morning." Must be better about that.

Oh, I did read about half of The Gathering Storm. I'm really enjoying it. I like the unconventional (imperial Russia) setting for a conflict between the Light and Dark Courts, and the introduction of urban fantasy type plots/characters into that time period. The heroine, Katrina, is delightful, and I like that her magical talent is a dark one, one she sees more as curse than blessing. I'll likely finish it off tomorrow and post a proper review.
