Sadly, there was no Brave for Barb today. I woke up with a crashing headache and nasal issues, both of which continued despite medication and extra sleep. I wouldn't have even left the house today if I was not completely out of Diet Pepsi and if it was not the last day of a sale on some staples that saved me $30 in stockpiling while the price was low. I suppose I could have gone to the movies at 5:00, but that would mean getting in late, and well, the grocery store took most of what I had today out of me.
I'm still turning over the comments on the Grimm fic and thinking meta thoughts about it, since it isn't my darkest or most dub-conny thing I've got posted at the AO3. There will be time for the meta tomorrow when my thoughts (and head) are a bit clearer.
What I did with the day was do some overdue skin maintenance, clean out several kitchen cabinets, play chase with Ripley, nap, and fuck about online. It was a glamorous Saturday at Barb's. However, two things I like about cleaning drawers and other storage-type spaces: throwing away a bunch of stuff that was overdue for the dumpster and finding things that I knew were "around here somewhere" but had no blessed idea where.
In other news, I spent more time than is strictly reasonable surfing the Urban Decay site. You know, if you sign up, you get a 10% off your first order coupon and while I was experimenting to see if it was off the order or off one items, a flurry of samples and freebies appeared in my cart. rubyelf for her suggestions. I'm particularly interested in what people think about the eyeshadow shades, so any feedback is welcome. The ones I have so far are:
Walk of Shame - A pinkish peach matte that comes in the Build Your Own Palette
Gravity - Deep violet with multicolored micro-glitter
Grifter - Lavender with silver micro-glitter
Peace - Bright turquoise
Colors I'm interested in:
Mildew - Mossy green with gold shift
Roach - Deep burgundy metallic brown
Sin - Champagne
Bordello - Pale mauve with gold micro-glitter
Asphyxia - Hyacinth with a blue shift
Last Call - Metallic sugar plum
