I've set A DISCOVERY OF WITCHES aside for a moment. Apparently, by Diana and Matthew declaring their love for each other and intention to be together they are now vampire married. Yeah, not sure how that happens. And you know, when she repeatedly talks about his ass as his "bottom," I can't help but snicker. A lot. Only infants and young children have bottoms. Then I think that instead of straight-up fucking he fingers her to orgasm, but the act itself is described in such vague terms, I'm not actually sure it happened.

While those things are enough to make me stop reading, apparently, despite knowing that enemies are all around Matthew's French estate, she sneaks outside while everyone is sleeping and is promptly kidnapped. I'm assuming this is so Matthew can save her and then have chapters of hurt-comforty comforting. And y'all know how I feel about hurt comfort. Bleh.

So I've downloaded some SHADOW UNIT for the Nook. It has been awhile since I read any, and a cross between Criminal Minds and Haven is more appealing. I want to read something good an fun. Will I go back to A DISCOVERY OF WITCHES? Probably. But I'll likely read it a chapter or two at a time to manage my frustration with the text.

Been enjoying what little bit of the Olympics I've been able to see. NBC sucks ass in its coverage. I found out that they cut a section of the Opening Ceremonies to show a Ryan Seacrist interview with Michael Phelps. In the men's gymnastics qualifying event, we didn't even get to see all the US men, and they didn't bother showing rings, parallel bars or vault at all. Bah. At least we see all of the swimming and the women's synchronizd springboad. They also seem to be showing more of the womens's gymnastics team qualifier.
