Dear Yuletide Author,

First, let me say that I'm so happy to have you writing something for me that I don't get to see every day but wish that I did. Thank you in advance for that!

I know that my prompts lean toward the slashy and the sexy. However, I did try to sprinkle in a few other details in case that was a problem for you. If you want to see the sorts of things I write (and like to read), there is a link to my fic index on my profile page, and it’s the top entry on my LJ. Now, a little about the fandoms/characters I’ve requested. Sorry some of them are a bit rushed. I ran out of time tonight and wanted to get the links in the AO3 signup form.

Arrow RPF
This was a show I didn’t watch until it came out on DVD, but I got hooked. Not only is the landscape of the show (both male and female) exceptionally pretty, but there are all sorts of deliciously dark relationships. For my Yuletide fic, I’d love to see some dark, dangerous, kinky Manu/Stephen fic. I tend to like RPF where a bit of the character the actor is playing bleeds over into the actor’s character whether in earnest or in play. So I’d love to see two alpha men (though not A/B/O alpha please) struggling to have the upper hand physically, intellectually, and sexually over each other. I’m good with dubcon, more than good.

Game of Thrones RPF
One of my delights on Game of Throne this season was the addition of Pedro Pascal. I'd love a steamy, kinky slashfic pairing him with Nikolaj, perhaps one in which some of the tensions between their characters spill over into the power dynamics between the actors. I’d totally not object to a kinky, adventurous Pedro entertaining himself with a more contained and constrained (at least on the surface) Nikolaj and perhaps awakening in him desires he might not have been aware of or willing to recognize. I’m good with dubcon, more than good.

Once Upon a Time RPF
Okay, so maybe they weren't on the show together, but there are all kinds of possible ways Colin and Jaime’s paths might cross, right? I'd adore some deliciously kinky, wicked, and passionately slashy encounters between the two. I tend to like RPF where a bit of the character the actor is playing bleeds over into the actor’s character whether in earnest or in play. So I’d be totally all over a mischievous and kinky Colin seducing Jaime or a more feral Jaime overwhelming Colin. I’m good with dubcon, more than good.

Grimm
In past Yuletides, I asked for Nick/Monroe, but this year I thought I’d mix things up a bit and ask for Nick/Sean Renard. Because of Nick and Sean’s positions in the normal and supernatural worlds, there’s all kinds of delicious possibilities when it comes to power struggles between them. I'd love something dark and dangerous between them, something where the civilized and primal are at war with each other. One of the things I like about Grimm is the tension between the Wesen and human worlds/perspectives and how Nick’s position as a Grimm pulls against his job as a cop. Ditto for Renard’s as a Royal and a cop.

Oddly enough, while this was on the YT list, I don’t see it in my offer or sign up anymore, but I’ll leave it here just in case.

Almost Human
One of the compelling things about this series is the buddy action between Kennex and Dorian. I love the difference between Kennex’s jaded, scarred past and Dorian’s more innocent and open nature. While I like fic that leans to the dark, but I’m happy with something a little lighter for these two. I’d still like there to be tension and a sliver of dubcon, but not out and out dark.

The Mummy Series
In this fandom, I'd LOVE dark, hot kinky non-con or dub-con all the way. No woobie-fying Imhotep's pain at love lost. No, I'd like something deliciously dark and scorching hot. Feel free to wallow in temptation and forbidden desire all the way on this one. I’m fine if you want to set things in the present of the stories or perhaps come up with a story of how Ardeth also had dealings with Imhotep in the past.


Kinks and Squicks

In short, things that I tend to like: power dynamics/exchanges, dirty talk, smart characters, sexual/romantic tension, good stories, steamy sex, kinky sex, alpha-leaning men and women (though NOT in the alpha/beta/omega sense), dub con/non con, passion, fire, intensity, an edge of darkness/danger, dark or intelligent humor, surrender (even against better judgment), temptation, non-vanilla/traditional characters/situations, good writing, taking chances, getting inside characters' heads. I like slash, het (though not vanilla het), and femslash. If you’re writing either het or femslash, I like strong, capable women who own their own strength, intellect, and desire. Of course, I like that in men too. I like BDSM, though more in terms of power dynamics and less in terms of highly ritualized behavior.

My list of squicks tends to be smallish, and good writing can often get around some of them. Some things that usually don't appeal to me are overly sappy and melodramatic romance and schmoop, feminization of male characters, angst that becomes overly emo, MPREG, A/B/O fics, scat, hurt/comfort, watersports (most of the time), curtain fics, fluff, gen fic, misogyny, woobie fics, crack fic, characters who behave wildly OOC. Please no holiday fic.

Also, please no social issues fic. There are a lot of social issues I feel passionate about, but I’d rather my fic be about passion, not politics.

Having said that, I read and write and enjoy lots and lots of things that aren't really represented in my fics, so I don't want you to feel boxed in. Write what you really love, what inspires you, and it will show in the fic. If you have any questions, you could bounce them off my writing partner caras_galadhon.
