There was no hero quite like Galavant
Tough, plus every other manly value...

He ruled in every way!
A fairy tale cliché!
And people called him Gaaaaaaa-laaaaaaa-vaaaaaaaaaaaant!
Yep. Today was the Season 2 premiere of GALAVANT. Even though the show didn't pack in the numbers for Season 1, ABC renewed it. And there was sport made of rating of live views vs. people watching other ways. Season 2 was missing the catchy theme song from Season 1, and while the song would have to change, I was sort of hoping that they'd keep the tune and change the lyrics.
On the negative side, I'm not sure this episode was as funny as the ones from last season. However, on the positive side...
Galavant stripped half naked by the Queen of the Enchanted Forest was nice. Very pretty. Very, very pretty. In fact, that made up for a lot of the meh moments tonight. ^_^
The bit with the unicorn doggedly following Richard around was super-amusing, and it positioned him to pull the sword of the One True King from the...errr...stump. Even though no one noticed.
I was less than amused with the malfunctioning of the amulet device where Isabella isn't getting exactly what Galavant is saying, and what comes across is hurtful and mean. I was not amused by this. And I have to confess that I don't like that Isabella is locked up in princess jail until she agrees to marry her young cousin.
So a mixed bag in the eps tonight. I hope that's not a sign of things to come.
