This year, I think I’ll rec some gift fics that I really enjoyed.

In the Cavern of the King. The Hobbit. Thorin/Thranduil, Thorin/Other. NC-17.
This is a deliciously warped and wicked fic, and I love it more than is seemly.

Counterbalance. The Hobbit. Bard/Thorin. NC-17.
This fic hits so many of my bulletproof kinks. Delightful and well-written.

To Break Like Waves. The Hobbit. Galadriel/Tauriel. NC-17.
This is a fic by the same person who wrote Counterbalance. It has the same appeals as that fic but with a femslashy twist.

So Sweet and Scarlet. Crimson Peak. Lucielle Sharpe/Thomas Sharpe. R.
The language is lush and lyrical and deeply haunted/haunting.
