Bridgerton is really well done. The writing and acting are solid. The sets and costumes are lovely. There is romance and mystery. The ways they've refreshed the Regency in terms of society and costumes/music while also preserving the tropes that draw readers to the genre are perfectly balanced.
I read Regency romances. My sister does not. But we stayed up until 3:00 AM one morning binging the entire series.
The second season drops in March, so now is a perfect time to give it a whirl and see what you think.
