Put Through the Wringer...

I took my punishment for being out last week today at work in the form of the avalanche of email and voice mail that greeted me on my return. I was groggy and exhausted from the drive in, and facing that was excruciating. How bad was the chaos? I didn't get up from my desk until 1:00, when I absolutely had to go to the bathroom. I didn't have lunch until about 2:30. I worked about a half hour late. None of this helped with my tired, though I'm thinking I have to sleep better tonight.

However, it was Gordon Ramsey lovefest night tonight. I always find the first few eps of Hell's Kitchen and Master Chef (and really most reality competitions) a bit flat until I get to know the personalities and dynamics. The one exception is So You Think You Can Dance because, well, I just like to watch the dancing.

Oh dear. It sounds like you're exhausted. (I cleverly deduced this from the part of your post where you told us that you were exhausted.) I hope you get lots of lovely sleep tonight!

Heh. Very clever, you. ^_^ I stumbled through half the week last week.

This week. It will be better. I demand it.

It's always so hard to catch up on sleep once you fall behind.

It's impossible really. But still, it's comforting to play the "If I just get a few more hours tonight, it'll be better" game.

I seriously did some powersleeping this weekend, so I think I'm as close to fully rested as I can be.
