The Good:

I did not work close to 10 hours straight today without a break.
The monster project that needs to be done nownownow is more than half done.
The monster project should be vanquished by tomorrow afternoon.
I will buy myself some sort of treat in celebration.
I saw some really great dancing on So You Think You Can Dance.
I had a hot shower after work to ease the stress of the day.
I decided to take off next Thursday/Friday to have a little staycation and unwind.

The Bad:

I spent most of the day talking to myself, more like talking me down from being wound up, when I was not on the phone.
I carried so much tension in my back, shoulders, and neck it was actually physically painful.
I did not get up from my desk until 1:00. Not to eat, drink, or use the bathroom.
Endlessly being bombarded with trailers for Magic Mike.
There are still two full days until the weekend.

What good/bad was happening in your worlds today?

The good: I've got enough courses confirmed for Fall that my financial fears are deferred until next year.

The good: spring cleaning proceeds well, and my closets are decluttering quickly.

The bad: nothing really horrible today, just a few exchanges about grades with unhappy students. And of course the growing pile of boxes for charity/junk in the spare room. Clutter has to go somewhere, at least temporarily.

Glad to hear your monster day was less monstrous than usual!

Being able to defer financial fears is a very big GOOD in my book. So is decluttering, something I'm also working on.

The Good : We completed our grandtwin minding mission successfully and came home with a sense of satisfaction. We miss them terribly, but it is also nice to be home and we will be seeing them agin down here in three weeks.

The Bad : I indulged on holiday in Italy and kept it up in Yorkshire to reward myself for being a good grandmamma. Now comes the reckoning.

The Ugly : Me in my swimsuit this morning before going for my early morning swim. I need to get a grip. Have had wholesome oatmeal porridge made with water and a handful of blueberries and strawberries for breakfast.

Weekend is a day nearer for you now! :D

Oh dear. I tried to get back to oatmeal in the morning for eating better, but I just can't make myself do it. I've settled for whole wheat waffles with peanut butter for a nice mix of protein and grain.

LOL... I think you read about mine! Good for you for taking Thursday and Friday off! Sometimes a long weekend works wonders...

Even this short weekend has me feeling much better. Not top of my game, but better. Less ready to explode out of my skin at a moment's notice.

I woke up! Alive! Alone! Late!

Read LJ. swept mouse-droppings from worktop to floor. He's pretty, is Mr. Mouse. Silver-grey back and a tan tummy... and an expressive browny-pink tail. I like Meece!

Saw pics in DM and drooled. lovely tums. Saw lovely pics in Bean Daily, drooled. Took tablets with Black cherry yoghurt.

Picked, pulled, and podded another 7+lbs of broad beans. Had letter from Czech Republic with goodies.
GI Jane came too. Laughed at a drabble... had two pints excellent MY made coffee.... curls your hair stuff!

Bad??? Ate too much smoked haddock and broad beans for lunch and finished the Gerwerztraminer gold medal..oh boy!!! wheee, am too silly now - BAAAd.

The sky is grey. I am worried, the greenhouse effect seems to have settled seriously upon our little microclimate that kept this part perfectly Camelotian.

Bad.. gotta get up and wash up one plate...damn!

Must tidy as I have the realtor coming this evening, with hopefully a pervable pretty young man who will leap at the chance to buy this great big wandering mansion.

Other bad... being 8l, getting divorced, homeless praps, broke? Certainly! unless house comes up trumps... aaaah it'll do, it'll do. It's been worse. and some poor suckers have to WORK in an OFFICE or a ROOM!!!!

sends commiserations and staggers to sink to wash plate! teehee... get old and get ON!

There is NOTHING nicer than being able to wake up late and sleep sated. ^_^

And since I'm behind in all kinds of comments, I just wanted to let you know that I've been thinking about you and sending good energy your way.

I know that you've got a lot of change happening now, and I think you're wonderful and very brave. *hugs*

Hugs and positive energies are VERY much appreciated.

The pervable young man's aged parents came... and he wanted the garden to be attached not just across the road, so he chickened... Oh well. Twas just a bit too much to expect of the Fates...hahaha always the optimist, me.

You have GOOOD days - yah hear me? Goood ONES. WITH HUGS!!!

Good - finished a project I've been dragging my heels over, at least the first draft of it...and now I get to start another, rather more important project, but for that I need to doze...I get most of my best ideas between sleep and waking...
Bad - I'm choosing to concentrate on the good stuff first. *g*

I like how you think regarding the bad. I used to make a list of good things of the day, just to keep me focused there. It's so easy (for me at least) to focus on the bad and sometime get mired in it.

Yay for projects completed!

Staycation sounds awesome and well-deserved. *hugs*

Just because the Magic Mike thing reminded me: are you going to see Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter? Never read the book, but I think I want to go.

From: [identity profile] savageseraph.livejournal.com

I'm on the fence about Abe. On one hand, there are VAMPIRES and RUFUS SEWELL (who is a VAMPIRE). On the other hand, umm, not totally enamored of the concept.

A guy from work who is a HUGE fan of the book saw the movie and did not like it. He didn't like the changes from book to film and said that they really lessened the power of the story. He said that if I was going to see the film to do it before I read the book.

The reviews I've read of it seem kind of middle of the road. It's not a disaster but not a must-see. So I'll probably end up seeing it at some point, but maybe not in the theatre.

Heh. I end up talking to myself all the time and it seems normal to me. But I suppose the topic of conversation could easily sway it from good and bad.

I don't know why everyone is swooning over a male stripper movie so much.

Good:
-Got filmed for a web series today
-Almost done choreographing a bally dance version of "Thriller"
-It didn't rain today.

Bad:
-Allergies hate my face. I would love to be able to breathe properly.

From: [identity profile] savageseraph.livejournal.com

Ergh. Allergies SUCK. I feel your pain there.

What sort of web series? Sounds interesting...

From: [identity profile] i-llbedammned.livejournal.com

It's a webseries that some of my friends are working on where they make a comedy about LARPing that tries to take it more seriously than say Role-Models or something but is still funny.
