Day of Rest...

Last week, well, the less said about the horror that was last week, the better. Suffice it to say that in addition to my teammate being out again last week, I had bonus hormonal rage, exhaustion, and misery to deal with. I slept eleven hours last night and spent much of today sprawled out reading and/or gaming on my Nook. I had yummy pork roast and mashed potatoes, and OMG, I got this limited edition Hagen Dasz ice cream: BLUEBERRY CRUMBLE. It's creamy blueberry goodness with crumbly pastry and frozen berries throughout. It is frozen love.

So what have y'all been up to this week?

Uhm I cried twice at work because my coworker is an unbelievable asshole. How she is raising a 14 year old when she acts the same age (well he's more mature) is beyond me.

But OMG I need to go to a store!!

Been working ten-hour days this week and next week to keep from losing a big client because the company that bought us laid off 3/4 of the office staff in one go only to find out months later that they don't have enough people to do all the work that boy howdy is still here! And I was stupid enough to let them wheedle me into working the last two Saturdays. I'd quit if I didn't love money so much.

Sounds like we're in similar situations. We let people go and have running on pared down staff because of an industry downturn. Now, we're getting ready for two huge new client implementations and need to gear up staffing to handle them.
