Thanks to everyone who left comments on either of the last two posts about my mom. I really appreciate your good thoughts and well wishes. Happily, I'm writing this from Mom's apartment where the sis and I are watching the Packers trounce the Vikings. Mom is watching it at the hospital.

Yesterday evening, they moved Mom to a regular room, and she has been stable ever since. Hopefully, that trend will continue. Her kidney function isn't fabulous, but it has improved. She definitely is breathing better, and since she's properly oxygenated, she is clear when you speak with her. She sounds stronger than she has in awhile.

Right now, I'm also hoping that I'm not coming down with the flu or some other crud. I have a cold sore starting over one lip, and I'm sort of worn and achy and congested. There's all kinds of flu running rampant around here, and I did not get the shot this year. The nurses told me not to fret too much, as the flu that is circulating was not covered by the shot. Still...I'd rather avoid any germ infestation if at all possible.

I'm glad your mom is stable and doing better! I hope you're not getting the flu either, I had to deal with a strain of it over Christmas and it was horrible. >_< Make sure to drink lots of liquids though! And yay!! The Packers kicked the Vikings butts!!
