Tick Tock Tax...

My taxes are DONE!!!

I can't tell you how excited that makes me, since I'm usually banging out the rough edges at lunch at work on 4/15 (assuming that isn't a weekend). TurboTax was my friend. I owe Ohio almost what I'm getting back from Georgia, so I broke even there, and for the first time in seems like forever I'm getting cash back from the feds.

I am now a much more relaxed Barb than I was last week at this time.

You know what, if you want to drop by my LJ and discuss a post I've made you've disagreed with, you're very welcome to. We're not going to agree with each other all the time, and that's okay. Honestly. It is. I've had decades of experience dealing with that sort of thing in academia and the corporate world. There isn't a pool I swim in where everyone around me is just a mirror of me. And thank the gods and little magic fishies for that.

However, what is not cool is being a fucking douchebag who zips into my journal to leave an anonymous comment whose purpose is to piss me off with a display of blatant assholery. Yes, it's clear that is what the purpose of the comment was. If it was an attempt to disagree and discuss the issue, there'd be, well, discussion, and if you weren't saying something you felt was mean-spirited and small, you'd have had the balls to leave your username. Not a one-word reply that translates into "Fuck you."

I'm sorry to tell you that your comment didn't have the intended effect. Because despite my word choice in this post, I'm annoyed, not angry. It's hard to work up anger when dealing with someone too chickenshit to leave their name or more than a two-letter response. Might I suggest that the next time you feel the urge to take a shit in someone's virtual living room, you do so in another journal.
