On Pains and Pens...

Ummm. So... I think I might have strained my left quiad at fitness class. Now, the right one is still a bit tender, but the left actively hurts. It's tight and pulling whenever I move my leg. *sigh* One of the guys at work said to take out a rolling pin and roll it really hard up and down my thigh to stretch out my quad. I'm feeling a little silly doing it, and I've not noticed a change yet, but I'm willing to give it a whirl.

It's still a bit cool down here, but that's supposed to change over the weekend. It won't heat up hideously, but we should see a gradual warming. Honestly, I'd be happiest if it just stayed like this year round. Mid to high 70s during the day, mid 50's at night. Comfortable weather.

Work. Well, work is getting challenging again. In addition to my normal job responsibilities and the project I'm working on managing with one of our Directors, I've got two new projects that are all writing and all me dropped on my plate. This is in addition to bringing on 8 new contractors, getting them trained and up to speed. It's a total Catch 22 I'm stuck in. I want the project work because it plays to my strengths, is more challenging, and is more visible across the business. However, it isn't like anyone says, "Oh, we'll take away all these routine things to free up more of your time to devote to the projects."

I'm just very glad today is Friday, and I have time to power sleep tomorrow. Ah, bliss.

Dear Grimm,

You've been building up to the showdown between Nick and Adalind, and I'm not sure how I feel about it. I'm not sure if you were clever or not. I'm not sure if I like how you handled things. However, I'm interested in seeing how the consequences of that ripple out.

Poor Wu! And I'm not sure I like Rosalee being in the inner circle of Blutbad and Grimm. Yes, her skills are very useful, and it's nice to know there are other repositories of magical know-how out in the world. Maybe she and Juliette can get together while the boys are out investigating and stuff. *nods*

Also, it's clear you've entered the run to the finale stretch, because you're amping up the stakes and the tension all over the place. I approve.
