Challenge #7

In your own space, tell us about 3 fandom resources, spaces, or communities you use or enjoy. (One or two is fine, especially if you're in a smaller fandom!) Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.

Hmmm. This one is tough, since I’ve not been active in fandom spaces for a long time. I suppose the Archive of Our Own (Ao3) is the one site that I have used consistently for posting and (more often) reading fics. However, I’m not sure that classifies as a community, since most of the interactions are clicking a “kudo” button rather than talking about fannish interests or commenting.

I do follow the Yuletide communities, since I participate in the fic exchange every year, and I usually also participate in The Lord of the Rings Secret Santa (LOTR_SeSa) exchange as well. Over on Facebook (where I’ve been similar inactive) I belong to a bunch of fandom-specific communities, but that’s mostly for keeping up on news and cross-posting memes.

As I look through my Reading Lists on LJ and DW, most of the communities I’ve followed seem to have grown silent as well.

Maybe AO3 is like a passive community? So, we don't interact there much, but when you know, you know.

No-one talks about it. It's like Fight Club :)
