Despite the many things going in its favor, I was concerned about tonight’s debut of Alcatraz. Choosing to show two eps back-to-back was a good plan, since there’s a twist at the end of the second episode that definitely cemented my tuning in next week for more. Yes, the show is dark and sinister and the premise is intriguing. The acting seems solid, and I like the flashes between the past and the present so that the story unwinds in both places.

I want to watch Being Human now, but I’m tired and congested. I slept poorly last night, and I’m hoping to get more rest tonight and bounce back a bit tomorrow. I suppose SyFy will re-air it during the week so I shouldn’t be too disappointed, but I sort of am.

Speaking of disappointment, work predicts they will have far more people signing up for the fitness classes than they have space to accommodate those people, so we’re all only allowed to sign up for one day a week. I hardly see the point. What good does one 30-minute session a week do? Meh.

I suppose that we need to do some of the working out on our own. Which makes it harder.

Alcatraz is worth watching. Very good acting, and there is a big mystery, like in LOST, and I sense there will be layers peeled back one at a time.

I'm hoping Fox will re-air it this weekend, so I can rewatch.
