OMG. I hurt today. I got up this morning all cocky. Sure, I was a little sore, but nothing too bad. Nothing too unmanageable. Except for my back. Now the back is a little tight but fine. My legs, however, that’s a whole other story. The long muscles in my upper and lower legs are killing me, and if what people are thinking is true and tomorrow will be worse, I’m not sure how I’m going to navigate things like sitting and standing up.

However, everyone was hurting today, and even if I wasn’t able to do the same level of exercise as they could, I still worked just as hard. Which I need to remember. I have a bad habit of over analyzing things, picking them apart, exposing all their goods and bads. Sometimes, when it touches on me, I tend to focus on the bads. I’m much more forgiving to others than to myself, so I while I can get the negative out, I can’t let myself fixate on it.

In other whiny Barb news, the chest congestion has broken up and relocated to my head. In addition to my sinuses tormenting me, I have a lovely little nest of cold sore bumps on my upper lip. Grrrrrrr.

However, not all’s bad in my world. Top Chef had Charlize Theron on as their special guest judge. The cheftestants had to make a wicked meal fit for the Wicked Queen she will be playing in Snow White and the Huntsman. There was some creepy yet awesome-looking food, though the judges’ final decisions for the winner and the person let go baffled me.

Tonight, I’m looking forward to Project Runway. I might re-watch the trainwreck that was the opera dress challenge. Seriously, so many awfully tortured looks there. While I tend to like Rami’s designs, it reminded me of one of the judges’ criticisms of him during his season: that he picked odd and slightly unappealing colors. I sort of liked Mondo’s futuristic look. Okay, it wasn’t quite opera, but it was cool.

Tomorrow is Friday, which means the weekend is almost here. I’m thinking I shall treat myself somehow after my writer’s group meeting on Saturday. Bookstore run perhaps? Or will I finally break down and use my Best Buy gift cards for something awesome? I suppose time will tell.

I loved Mondo's dress. I would have loved it more if the column had gone to the floor instead of to the knee, but still. I thought it was a perfect Audrey Hepburn-esque fantasy of an opera dress, and it fit the brief really well. However, Austin's was also gorgeous in a Thirties sort of way.

Rami's was just a disaster. What the hell.

I won't watch it tonight but I'll be able to see it tomorrow online. Looking forward to it.

Austin's was pretty too. I liked it and the way he had it styled. Mondo's was more...unique. Which is what I love so much about him.

I'll be interested in what you think of tonight's episode.
