Still aching from class yesterday, though by now, it is soft enough that it isn't actually pain. However, work has been hellish stressful this week, so by mid-morning, I find my neck and shoulders totally cramping up, and I've a full-blown tension headache by mid-afternoon. I need a vacation. And a new job. And a winning lottery ticket. Not necessarily in that order.

One thing I need to start doing is actually taking lunch, not just bolting food at my desk while I keep on working. That detox period mid-day is going to be the thing that helps me make it through the afternoon. Hopefully in a condition that isn't putting me on the fast-track for an ucler or prescription muscle relaxants to deal with the pain from my knotted back and shoulders.

Sorry for the not so interesting post this evening. I'm still fighting the last vestiges of that headache from this afternoon, and I suspect the only cure is sleep. Have a good night, all.

I agree with the need to take a lunchtime. Definitely helps with reducing muscle spasms in the shoulders. When the weather's good, I sit outside with my lunch and a drink of water and the newspaper.

I agree with kitzen_kat you need your lunch-break to relax and get away from you desk for it is the only measure.

Every now and again you should do a little neck/shoulder relaxing exercise that helps to prevent you from cramping up.

Hope you are feeling better tomorrow.

Those stress-induced muscle cramps and headaches are the worst... and it seems like they rarely respond to ordinary over-the-counter painkillers. Ugh.
