Tired and need to turn in, but I didn't want to let the day slip by without a post.

Granted, it's not much of a post, but I think it still counts.

So... What is the best thing that happened to you today?

My husband was offered a job (full time with a decent hourly wage). I rather hope he decides to accept their offer.

That IS a good thing, especially in these times. Did he accept the position?

He decided not to take it, because as it turns out, it was temporary and would have involved crossing a union picket line. Was good to have had the offer, though, and he's been more cheerful about job hunting.

Also, as it turned out, it was good not to have taken the job because his mother has been in the hospital, and he's been able to visit her a couple of times a day. :)

Yesterday was good. Making it through the day with a smile on my face despite the horrors of work would be the best thing. :p

Hope you have a good day today. xx

Oh, I know those days. Very well. Coming home and not having throttled those people who so richly deserve it is worthy of celebration. ^_~

I don't remember the 19th which in my book means it was a good day because I tend to only remember bad things. ^_^

I made it to Orlando without throttling the racist, sexist assholes next to me on the plane.

Oh, and also, I eliminated a 124-word sentence from my conference paper. Because, you know, sometimes I should not be allowed to use the English language. The non-con squicks the neighbors...

Wow. You were probably a better person than I on the plane. Although with security being what it is these days, I probably would have held my tongue too.

That's a rather impressively sized sentence. *snerks*

An unexpected 40 mile trip for a little bit of live music at an old church turned into a coffee shop :). Also the biggest slice of lemon meringue pie I have ever eaten.
