Ah, flist, I'm seriously behind on reading and commenting. Promise I'll be catching up in the next few days as I recover from the confernce. I seriously don't know how some of the same shitstorms that were breaking when I left last week are still going on. However, the guys on my team pitched in to cover for me, and so I didn't come back to the usual mess I do when I'm out. This was a lovely thing.

Since Outlook was officially sundownned while I was gone, I was full-go on Google Mail today. This was not a lovely thing. I miss folders. As [livejournal.com profile] caras_galadhon can attest and a quick skim of my LibraryThing can confirm, I'm not big on tagging things and when I try, I make messes. So the whole idea of tagging instead of dropping into a file bothers me. It just doesn't seem as tidy. And I fucking HATE that I can't sort emails by sender or subject. Fucking Google Mail. GRRRRRRR.

However, Ripley is home and washed and snoozing deeply. Doggie jail has tired her out as much as the trip has done the same to me. We shall both sleep well tonight.

I … like gmail? It can haz color-coded labels. Here's hoping it grows on you!

Glad you and the wee doggie made it back from the conference safely. :)

I've just started color-coding my labels. GOD I WANT MY OUTLOOK FOLDERS BACK. I have the teahouse background, so I watch my wee fox work all day long, and while I'm more used to it, it just doesn't do as much as Outlook.

However, I shall bravely keep using it, mostly because I don't have a choice. Though I am still emailing some things out of Outlook. I have outgoing, but not incoming on that account for now.

I'm just now trying to get caught up on sooooo many comments. I'm a bit ashamed how long it has taken me to do so. *hangs head*

Yes. *long-suffering sigh*

Also, it appears the hotel didn't send my fucking boxes out, and now I have no idea where they are. Yay for more stupid shit. They better find them and get this all straightened out, or I don't know what I'm going to do.

Well, we know where they are now. I know the other post office in town is even farther from work than the one by me. I'll have to see if there is one the next town north of work. Then maybe I might have a lunch time option during the week instead of being limited to Saturday post office runs.

Well, the company was tired of people constantly exceeding the size of their accounts and needing work arounds for that. They also said that Google would give us better search capabilities. My ass.

While there are some things I like about Google, like being able to customize things in it via add-ons, it's just not as powerful as Outlook.
