Today, I'm flat-out wasted. The endorphin and energy high post-workout has been beaten down by hormonal fatigue, aches, and general bitchiness. While most of the ache has left my shoulders and neck, my biceps are still totally tight and sore. I don't notice so much when I'm just moving, but if I press on my arms and knead at them, I can feel them. I hope to god tomorrow night is more lower body than upper. The guy from technologies who talked geek with me the other day in the breakroom and I chatted again today. Looks like other people are interested in getting some personal bands so I suggested we pool resources. We might be able to get things cheaper on a package deal and we could certainly save on shipping.

Other than that, work continues to be a grind. I have major projects to juggle, and I'm starting to feel a bit of a tug of war between the woman managing my old team and my new team. I've told her that some things she wants need to be put off because I simply don't have time. And I got the feeling she was a bit snarky about me going to class (which she also attended but stopped coming to). Like, "Why are you going to class when you could be working?" You know what, I work early and late sometimes. I usually never take lunch or breaks. It's not my fault your team is understaffed, and while I will be happy to help when I can, I'm not going to give up something I need to be doing in order to do that work for you.

Grrrrrr. Clearly, I have strong feelings about this. And my general grumpiness isn't helping. I'm so grumpy that I totally killed a MONSTROUS water bug whose very presence in my home (just inside the front door high up on the wall) was an act of domestic terrorism. I knocked his wiggly many-legged ass off the wall and stomped him. Generally, I do not stop. Out of fear of missing and having the beast like take off up my leg under my clothes. Tonight => SQUISH.

Meh. Enough of this. There were good things about today. Ummm. There were.

I took my vitamins and ate healthy. It rained and is raining again, so all the pollen that has been making life so miserable should be more bearable now. Tomorrow is Idol night. I won enough bricks to build half a mushroom farm for the wee fairy village I'm working to restore in the match 3 computer game I'm playing. I did laundry. I have a small, warm, lovey hound. I found my gym bag, which has been missing since ICFA. I remembered putting it into another bag, but I didn't think it was the one it was actually hiding in.

Yeah. The good things were making me feel better until the computer connection issues kicked in again. That is a signal. It is saying, "Time to sleep, Barb. Time to sleep."

You sticking to and enduring this workout thing is AMAZING and you should pat yourself on the back! And I know what understaffed is like for sure... we finally just got our third person about a month ago!

I fear that the understaffing will continue until our volume picks back up and/or we land one of the big clients we are pursuing. I understand the cost-savings need from a business level, though I hate how it's grinding everyone down.

Is that YOU - pts to icon? Teehee, seriously tho, you have been so good going to the gym classes and sticking it out so long. And just don't keep prodding your biceps, leave em alone they're sore and tired! Poor things. But don't give up, I'm dying to hear about you in another three/four months time, you'll be doing fifty pressups with no problem!!! It does pay off too, cos you can then renew every so often, once you get really good fit, your muscles then just need a cleanout occasionally.

The Water Bug - it wasn't one of those huge flying crates that look like a scarab beetle from outer space? One damn thing once chased me round and round and round a room, I couldn't get away, honest. hollering me head off too I was. Maybe it like the noise?

And now nice you count the Good Things that Happen. Counting Blessings my gran used to say, from back in the bloody l800s!!!(late admittedly, but there!)

I know it's good for me, but this week kicked my ass. I'm sad I'm missing Monday for an all-afternoon client presentation. When I get home, I'm going to try to run through a set we did before myself.

Umm, no. Down here those are likely cockroaches. They call them "palmetto bugs" but they are really just giant flying roaches. I've had to dispatch three or four of them in the time I've been here too.

Waterbugs are slinky and slender and fast with many, many, many legs. Rather like a short, wee millipede but without any armor.

ICKY waterbugs.. eeek. But here is something prettier than that anyway. (Points to icon! aaah)

Icky Roaches too.

Keep going, and I enjoy your 'exercise' posts, as I lie here in a nearly sedentary position and granting myself the excuse of OLD AGE. teehee!!!!!! Bless you Barbie, take care now!
